Store Policy
LOCATION
We are located in Grovetown, Georgia. We are an exceptional cookie business that operates from a PET-FREE/SMOKE FREE home.
Curbside pickup is our preferred option for our local consumers. We do not allow pickups at our door due to safety concerns and because we are a home-based business.
If you are local and want to order for shipping, you can do so. Please keep in mind that we strongly encourage picking up your order, since it is the quickest and most convenient alternative for our Augusta customers.
However, if you pick shipping, please be aware that we are NOT liable for any delays in your order, as it will be in the hands of the postal carrier.
BUSINESS HOURS
Our business hours are Tuesday-Thursday, 12:00-8:00 pm.
We are closed on Fridays through Mondays and on national holidays.
Our pickup timings range slightly from our business hours; please refer to our shipping/pickup schedules.
ITEMS & PROCESSING
Please bear in mind that we are a sole proprietorship, a home-based business, which means we are owned and operated by a single individual. This is the only factor that determines processing times.
All orders require a 1-5 day processing time prior to scheduled pickup. EVERY item is handcrafted and baked fresh the night before pickup/shipment.
RUSH ORDERS & EXPEDITED SHIPPING
We DO NOT provide clients with the ability to place rush orders. Because everything is built to order, all orders require processing time.
Our base shipping method begins with priority (1-3 business days). If you select any of our quicker shipping methods (next-day, overnight, etc.), ALL orders still require a processing time.
This means that your order WILL NOT be shipped overnight or the next day from the time it was placed.
For example, all orders are planned to ship on Mondays. If you place an order on Thursday and select overnight shipping at checkout, your order WILL NOT be shipped overnight on Thursday. Your order will continue to ship on Monday for overnight delivery, so you will receive it overnight rather than within 1-3 business days.
ORDER CANCELATIONS
Customers can cancel their orders at any moment after purchase. However, after a shipping label has been made and sent out, or a pickup order notification has been sent out indicating that your order is in the fulfillment phases, you will no longer be able to cancel it.
Shipping and fulfillment alerts indicate that items/ingredients have been purchased, shipping labels have been purchased, and processing has begun for your order. As a result, we cannot accept your cancellation request or issue a refund.
If there are any errors or revisions that need to be corrected in your order, please communicate appropriately before it starts processing.
If you want to cancel your order because you changed your mind, we reserve the right to decline your cancellation request.
EVENT ORDERS: PICKUPS
For event orders, placing these orders well in advance will allow us to be better prepared and able to process them on time. If we believe your order/request was not placed within a reasonable timeframe, we reserve the right to cancel your request. All event orders must be placed AT LEAST two weeks before your event date.
IN-PERSON PICKUPS
Orders shall be picked up at the agreed-upon date and time from Nyliscia’s Sugar Room. If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible.
Once the cookies are handed over to you, Nyliscia’s Sugar Room is no longer liable for any damage, melting, or loss that occurs during transportation or at the venue. Please handle flat, climate-controlled surroundings.
SHIPPING EVENT ORDERS
Event orders must be placed at least three to four weeks in advance. We ship via USPS priority (1-3 business days) to ensure that your treats arrive fresh. Each cookie is individually heat-sealed and thoroughly wrapped in bubble wrap, then packed with packing peanuts.
PROCESSING & TRANSIT
Orders are baked fresh and dispatched (2-3 days) before your requested shipping date to ensure arrival before your event.
WEATHER & TRANSIT DELAYS
We cannot be held liable for carrier delays (such as extreme weather) after the product has left our place of business.
Nyliscia’s Sugar Room is not liable for melted products if no one is accessible to accept the box immediately after shipping.
